सचिन तेंडूलकर !!! ….तेंडल्या  साठी introduction ची काहीही गरज नाही.

तेंडल्या म्हणजे  wonder boy…little मास्टर…मास्टर ब्लास्टर…क्रिकेट विश्वाचा Hero.  मी तर बोलेन सचिन म्हणजे चमत्कार, कारण मला वाटते,  असे लोक जन्मालाच यावे लागतात…….
हल्ली फारसे क्रिकेट पहाणे होत  नाही  किवा इत्यंभूत माहितीही नसते but I love Cricket like all Indians 🙂

सचिन मधे प्रचंड Passion आणि Determination आहें क्रिकेट साठी..  क्रिकेट हेच जीवन असले तरीही सातत्य टिकवून ठेवणे सोपे नसते…..पहिला येणे सोपे, पण पहिला येत रहाणे फार कठीण !!!

तेंडल्याने मात्र सातत्य टिकवून ठेवले आहें. सामान्य माणसा प्रमाने त्यानेही संघर्ष केला आहें……होय १९८७ च्या विश्वकप semi final सामन्यात सचिन ball boy होता, भारत विरुद्ध इंग्लंड @ वानखेडे  (from in.com)…..क्रिकेट खेलताना अनेक चढ़ उतार त्यानेही अनुभवले आहेत. आज सर्वच त्याचे कौतुक करतात……तसेच त्याच्या बद्दल वाईटही बोलले गेले आहें.  Extremely Down-to-Earth and modest….शतक झळकावले की शांत पणे Bat उंचावून…आकाशाकडे बघत अभिवादन करने ही त्याची स्टाइल …..तुम्ही त्याला शतक केल्यानंतर आनंदाने उड्या मारताना किवा ९९ वर आउट झाल्यावर रडताना पाहिले आहें ???   कदाचित नाही… कारण तेंडल्या नेहमी स्थिर असतो (हो भारत सामना जिंकल्यावर सगळेच उड्या मारतात  तेंडल्या सहित…कारण तो विजयाचा आनंद असतो  🙂 ).

सचिन खेळतो  तेव्हा रस्ते ओस पडतात…..कामे थांबतात…….एकदम शांतता आणि अचानक जल्लोष (६ मारला असणार),  दुकानात किवा हॉटेल मधे असाल तर तुम्हाला better सर्विस मिळत नाही आणि तुम्हालाही ते लक्षात येत नाही किवां तुम्ही दुर्लक्ष करतात कारण तूमचे लक्षही समोर लावलेल्या छोट्या टीवी वर/ हल्ली LCD  किवा  FM / रेडियो वर असते….ऑफिसमध्ये कामात लक्ष नसते आणि online score चेक होत असतो…updates /  SMS सुरु असतात…तशी हि परिस्थिती भारताच्या almost सर्वच सामन्यांसाठी असते…पण सचिन बाद झाल्यावर ती बदलते… हे मान्य करायला हवे…..मला असेही काही लोक माहित आहेत जे सचिन बाद झाल्यावर TV बंद करून कामाला लागतात !!!

तेंडल्याच्या खेळाचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे चौफेर फटकेबाजी..कमी धावणे आणि जास्त hits  …यष्टीरक्षकाच्या डोक्यावरून पाठी मारलेला ६ तर ultimate !!!

रेकॉर्ड्स विषयी बोलायाचेच झाले, तर कित्येक रेकॉर्ड्स आहेत पठठ्याच्या नावावर ….आणि  आतातर २००* !!! another world record.

Sachin Tendulkar has often reminded me of a veteran army colonel who has many medals on his chest to show how he has conquered bowlers all over the world. I was bowling to Sachin and he hit me for two fours in a row. One from point and the other in between point and gully. That was the last two balls of the over and the over after that we (SA) took a wicket and during the group meeting i told Jonty (Rhodes) to be alert and i know a way to pin Sachin. And i delivered the first ball of my next over and it was a fuller length delevery outside offstump. And i shouted catch. To my astonishment the ball was hit to the cover boundary. Such was the brilliance of सचिन. His reflex time is the best i have ever seen. Its like 1/20th of a sec. To get his wicket better not prepare. At-least you wont regret if he hits you for boundaries.
